Symptoms of Nasal Polyps

Stuffy Nose

Nasal polyps block the nasal passages, leading to a stuffy nose. Asthma and allergies can also be present from inflammation spreading throughout the airway.

Smell Loss

When large groups of nasal polyps grow and block the nasal passages and smell nerves, it can lead to smell loss.

Recurrent Sinus Infections

Nasal polyps can block sinus passageways and lead to sinus infections, making the use of antibiotics and steroids necessary.

What are Nasal Polyps?

Nasal polyps are soft, painless, noncancerous growths (or cysts) that line your nasal passages or sinuses. They are often caused by chronic inflammation and often occur as a result of asthma, recurrent infections, allergies, drug sensitivity, or certain immune disorders.
